OjimaLifeWorks co-founders Gilbert & Mary Lou traded in the life of express highways for the road less traveled. Mary Lou and I are in the middle of working on a huge project right now; perhaps when our lives are all said and done decades from now, we can look back and say that it was the most significant project of our lives. We have just started a program of teaching meditation and relaxation techniques at rehab centers in South Florida. We have also created an online blog on the recovery site In The Rooms, plus a RecoveryReiki group to share information about Spirituality (Self-empowerment) with the recovery community. We are gearing up for 2010 and beginning the New Year with a bang! We had a very transformative 2009 and are preparing for a year full of more education and opportunities to share the information we are learning. Here's a brief synopsis of what's upcoming and planned:

1. RecoveryReiki on Tuesday nights for those in the recovery community and members of all 12-Step programs along with friends and family. Starts on Jan. 5, 2010, from 7 to 8:30 p.m.

2. Thursday evenings are OjimaReiki empowerment circles, This offers us the opportunity to get out of the tasks of everyday life by doing what we enjoy most, sharing our energy by empowering others to grow by taking control of their thinking, which in turn allows them to create a healthy lifestyle.
